About Company: Save the Children has been operational in Kenya since the 1950s, providing support to children through developmental and humanitarian relief programmes delivered both directly and through local partners. Current programming focuses on child protection, child rights governance, education, health, HIV/AIDS, livelihoods, nutrition and WASH. In 2012, as part of a global reorganization process, Save the Children combined the programmes of SC UK, SC Canada and SC Finland to create a single operation in Kenya. • Minimum of Diploma in Nutirition &, Public Health or related field
• Minimum 3 years' work experience in nutrition programming
• Experience in nutrition interventions, particularly in. establishing and maintaining community-based therapeutic
and supplementary feeding programs and IYCF
• Experience in developing project-work plans and reporting
• Computer literacy required ·
• Strong Leadership· supervision skills
• Excellent oral and written English communication skills required.
• Supervise and provide technical and management assistance in all nutrition interventions, particularly in
establishing and maintaining community-based th.erapeutic and supplementary feeding programs and IYCF
activities in Kapoeta North and Kapoeta East
• Supervise Nutrition staff and operations of feeding centres, distributions sites and community outreach workers
and stabilization centres; coriduct evaluation and appraisal of staff as is required
• Together with the field team, develop project work plans that are communicated with the office
• Lead nutrition team in planning and implementing nutrition outreach and assessment; identify cases for
admission to feeding centres
• Identify areas where nutritional interventions are appropriate, and assist in securing resources through
developing compe~itive concept notes and proposals to donors.
• Integrate nutrition into ICCM programs
• Support in compila~ipn and submission 9f activity reports for donors and consortium partners including
statistical and narrative analysis
• Manage stock levels of all the supplies and equipm·ent; request and transport supplies in a timely manner with
assistance of logistician; prepare and submit stock reports
) • Liaise with other· Save the Children programs, consortium implementing partners and local authorities for
proper collaboration and co6rdination of activities
• Participate in conduct:ing of rapid nutrition assessments, Food security studies
• Perform additional tasks as required by line manage
