Requirements
Minimum Bachelor’s degree in (mass) communication, media, journalism, International Relations, Social Sciences or related field.
Minimum of 5 years post bachelor’s professional experience in journalism; media; research and communication, and/ or working with elected
representatives;
Previous experience with a government, multilateral or international organization is helpful but not mandatory;
Experience in the usage of video and radio editing software is helpful but not mandatory;
Experience in the usage of social media tools, computers and office software packages, good knowledge and experience in handling of web-based
management systems.
Excellent communications and analytical writing skills in Somali and English;
Excellent understanding of the print and audio-visual media

Responsibilities
Supervision of the design and maintenance of the ministry website, intranet, and knowledge management systems;
Develop and draft communication and outreach material including speeches, policy documents, posters, booklets, material for newsletters, websites, social
media, and through audio visual tools;
Support the minister with communication activities including public events; launching ceremonies; celebrations; events related to gender and human rights;
organise field visits and workshops;
Establish close working relationships with UN agencies and communication officers for the design
