For appointment to the grade of Driver Grade Ill, a candidate must have: i. Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education mean grade D plain or its equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution. ii. A valid driving license free from any current endorsements and valid for any of the classes of vehicles which the officer is required to drive. iii. Passed the Suitability Test for Drivers Grade Ill; and iv. At least two (2) years previous satisfactory driving experience.
This Is the entry grade in the Drivers' cadre. i. Driving a motor vehicle as authorized. ii. Maintenance of ;vork tickets for vehicles assigned. iii. Carrying out routine checks on the vehicle's cooling, oil, electrical and brake systems, tyre pressure, etc. iv. Detecting and reporting malfunctioning of vehicles systems. v. Ensuring security and safety for the vehicle on and off the road. vi. Maintaining cleanliness of the vehicle. vii. Safety of the passengers and/or goods therein
